This is a fantastic place for breakfast. Every time I'm in town I make this my first stop. The Swiss berry oatmeal is the best oatmeal I've ever had and I usually splurge and grab the Anaheim Panini as well. Also delicious! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you're visiting and looking for a great place for breakfast. GL

They recently added an online ordering feature. However, I've used it twice and they seemed to louse up my order both times. The pancakes are a hit and miss and are okay if you are craving something sweet. Their applewood bacon and their chili are tasty. The service is slow and they don't seem to care to double check if an order is correct. Their prices are on the high side. I tried the new bottoms up bundt cake. The one I ordered online did not even come up on my order upon pick-up (despite having it show in my order confirmation e-mail). I chose one they did have but it was the worst baked good I have ever tasted! It was stale, dried out and tasted as if it had been old and sitting out for several days. I immediately spat it out and tossed it into the trash. Not a memorable dining experience.

The service here is absolutely atrocious. During my first visit, they lost our order and we had to wait for over an hour to get our food after following up numerous times. I thought this was just a one-time thing so I gave them another shot about a month later. Again, they lost our order. The food is extremely overpriced. I will not be returning.

To make matters worst today we found a screw in a salad. Go back and advise them of this and no one wants to take the responsibility for this matter which could have gone horrible wrong. In addition they think that in order to fix the issue they can provide us with a $5 expired coupon! Nicely done.

The Corner Bakery at the Simi Town Center is wonderful! The staff is always so kind and helpful. Yesterday they came by our store and thanked our staff for stopping in for lunch so often and treated us with some free lunch and breakfast coupons! They go above and beyond to make sure their customers (and their neighbors) feel welcome.

Takes forever , food tastes like a rock. This place was a bust. I hate this place so much....

The food is great but the service is horrible. Especially when it's for a to go order. Their wait time is insane. Anywhere from 20-30 minutes. And more than once the order wasn't even being prepared until I asked about it because I felt it was taking longer than necessary. Great place to eat if you have an hour to kill.

Doesn't live up to the hype or the price. It is aight. 2 sandwiches and a cup of soup... umm $30. There was just nothing spectacular about it to make me believe that it was worth the price.

The nice corporate response listed after my review? I emailed them and then never heard back. C'mon Corner Bakery, really?

Im kinda on the fence about Corner Bakery. A lot of my family and friends like this place so I've had more than a fair share here at the Simi location, T.O. Calabasas and at the Promenade in Woodland Hills. I didn't realize how much of the menu I tried until writing this review. For breakfast I've had the French toast yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… and Commuter Croissant yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… French toast is a little soft for my taste, it reminded me of bread pudding. I enjoyed the croissant sandwich, egg and bacon sit between the oh so fresh n' flakey pastry. Hand roasted bakers blend is what I like from their coffee choices, but they do make a mean latte. For lunch I've had at least 3 of there sandwiches, Chickien Pesto being my favorite. Chicken Pesto Sandwich yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… Ciabatta Pesto on Ciabatta Ficelle yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… D.C. on Harvest Bread yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… All of these sandwiches come with Corner Bakery Kettle Chips, which are light, crispy and you can taste the potato skins. For the longest time I never opened my bag of chips, but then one day these chips grew on me. I've tried a few salads, Spinach Sweet Crisp is my favorite yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… Chopped Salad is ok yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… For soup, I don't like there broccoli and cheedar, which is way too salty. Spring Agparugas is my choice of soup when it is available. If you want a sandwich and soup, they do have that option. Sweet pecan crisps are good but pricy, they cost more than my breakfast... $6.99, but I like them, so I''l buy a bag from time to time. yelp.com/biz_photos/corn… CB carries a bunch of baked goods, like large cookies and whoppie pies.

This place is just fine for a quick meal while shopping. Plenty of affordable, somewhat healthy options, and it seems to be clean and quiet most of the time.

Just came in to order 1/7/15 @ 355pm)because I love their sandwiches but the cashier grossed me out. V. did not remove her food service gloves to handle the cash register/money and then she proceeded to handle food with those same gloves. I think they need to emphasize the importance of cross contamination . I

Had lunch date today, pretty good food! Can't diss a place that offers free cookies and brownie bites by the front door I loved the atmosphere and view of Simi from the restaurant, beautiful layout. Service was courteous, friendly, and nice. I ordered a veggie panini, the California Grille, it was ok. A little too cheesy for me, but I ate it all so I'm eager to come back and try a cold sandwich, like the club or turkey. The black currant tea was amazing! And I should mention that the wait time was less than 10 minutes. Very impressed. Of course, the cookies are delish. Took home two bags, hehe. My sweet tooth is very satisfied! Looking forward to eating here again soon!

Craved a frapp on my way leaving the town center so decided to try one from corners bakery... well 3 workers... 1 cashier 1 waitress/cook shes prepping lunch while "the one" guy is complaining about who knows what but not doing much so tells the one girl thats very very busy to make my frapp well she was working hard that my vanilla frapp tasted more like coffee and water but i left feeling bad for this young girl. But I called when i got home talked to manager and well guess who I spoke with yup... the guy!

I always get the chicken and noodles covered in Alfredo sauce. I forget what it's called, I love it. It has been dry once, but pretty good anyway. Can't go wrong for the price and the taste. It gets packed during lunch time, so plan ahead.

The Corner Bakery in the Simi Town Center is like Starbucks "Plus". That is, they've got an excellent coffee and espresso bar with some snacks, but go way beyond that in serving real food, like scrambled eggs, bacon, sandwiches and some remarkable pastries. They have lots of great indoor and outdoor seating at this location with a million dollar view of the Simi Valley. Just wow... The staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly, however keep in mind that unlike a traditional restaurant, you can't simply sit down and expect to be waited on. Instead, you walk up to the bar and place your order, take your number and place it at the table you select. The drip coffee quality here is on-par with Starbucks, although with a little less kick. The food quality here is excellent and I really cannot complain at all about that. Their scrambled eggs were light, fluffy and perfect. Their strips of bacon were generous and hit the spot between being too crispy and too limp. For bacon lovers, this is the place! The only thing I ding them on is the tables, chairs and overall facility which was definitely on the dirty side. Most of the outdoor tables when I arrived this weekend had food stains, crumbs or grease on them. Inside the restaurant, the floor wasn't well mopped and there was dust and dirt in various places. Not very appetizing... Also the charming little plants outside seemed like they were all dying. Small thing, I know, but who wants to look at dead flowers while dining on the patio? Aside from these minor things, I highly recommend the Corner Bakery!

Really like this place. Ate here all the time when I worked in the small. Customer service has always been delightful. Food is delicious. Salad is awesome. Small place. Located in the mall. Prices are not bad. Good size portions. Everything tastes fresh.

Pretty much frequent this particular Corner Bakery practically every Sunday, but this time came on a Saturday morning. I have to say getting in just as they open is very nice. The manager was great and extremely cordial. I really enjoyed their bakers blend coffee and the food was much fresher relative to the Sunday morning mass exodus rush hour. All in all, it's very mice to have a descent breakfast place in Simi with outdoor seating.

Not sure what happen to this place. They must have a new manager and new chef. Quality has gone down hill. My husband and I went for our usual breakfast panini's after a good workout. I get the chicken sausage, egg and cheese he gets the Anaheim. First neither of them came with a bowl of fruit so when I asked they said that is on the combo only. It would have bee nice to have the option, we did not get asked. Oh well. First my panini, normally you get two pieces of sausage, one on each side. This time they had cut the sausage in half length wise. WTH??? I asked and was told "oh the cook must have been confused, thats what we do for the flat breads." I asked to have it corrected. They brought back my panini (with the bite still missing) with another sliced in half sausage. Now I didn't mind getting my original panini pack but at least give me fresh sausages that haven't been cut. My husbands panini didn't have bacon???? And worse case there was a hair on his plate under the panini that he didn't see until he was done. So sad, I loved this place but wont be back.

I do not come here often and when I do, it is usually for lunch and I typically get the same chicken pomodori panini. It is one of the better things on the menu, I think, but I can't always justify spending $10+ on a sandwich and drink- especially since it is not very filling. I came here this morning for a free pancake breakfast promo. I hardly ever order pancakes (anywhere) since I do not care much for them, but surprisingly, the pancakes were light and fluffy with just the perfect amount of flavor (butter) and syrup. I would definitely order them again. I also ordered the chai tea latte. No bueno. It may be the worst chai I have ever had. I will be sticking to coffee from now on.

I was happy to find this when looking on my phone for a coffee place that wasn't Starbucks near the hotel where we were staying. I am not familiar with this place, so initially thought it might be an independent operation. I really really really wanted to like it as we walked in. So attractive. The menu was abundant with what looked like delicious choices. Little did I know. Not only is this chain not independent, the operations are as coldly corporate as they come. The set up is like Paradise Bakery or Jason's Deli. Order at the counter, and they call you to grab your food for a to-go order, and bring it to the table if you are dining in. We placed our order with a guy in his mid 40s, that I assumed must be the owner/manager. He was pleasant and took everything we said and put it into a computer order system. Lattes for me and Helena, a cookie, a muffin, and an egg panini (could I please just get egg and cheddar--no meat?)--yep, sure no problem! The espresso drinks came out right away. Horridly weak. We really should have known when we saw the automatic espresso machine. We should have just walked out at that point and found another place. But we didn't. And now I had a soy dishwater latte. I tried, in my non-caffeinated haze to purchase an additional shot to try to make it drinkable. Nope. The extra shot had zero crema and looked like watered down Coke. The same middle aged guy handed us our bag of goodies, and we sat and noshed at them as we waited for the egg panini to come up from the grill. Waited. And waited. The couch where the customers with to-go orders hang out is directly facing and only about 10 feet from the ordering counter. The staff could see us sitting. And waiting. We saw orders being taken to tables. Orders being handed to other take out customers. And we waited. No staff asked us (if they maybe thought we were waiting there for some other reason, casting glances questioningly in their direction) if they could get us anything else. Our panini was not materializing. I fished the receipt out of my pocket after we passed the 10-ish minute mark. No panini on the receipt. That would explain why the bill seemed so low. That one was on me, I should have checked it right away. So I walked back to the counter. Original order taker guy had ducked back behind the grill cook line, and a girl who was plainly irritated that I had walked up to the order line from the eternal waiting couch just stared at me. I was the first to speak. "Hi, yeah I placed an order for a panini, and it isn't on my receipt. I guess it didn't get put in." Her response was a blank stare which said, basically, F you, not my problem. "So, could I please order an egg and cheddar panini?" She rang it up and I paid. As I walked back to the hold and ignore couch, I looked at the reciept. Bacon, egg and cheese panini. Now I'm pissed. I turned on my heel and walked the two steps back to the register. She still holds me in her F you stare. "Um, yeah. I just needed egg and cheddar. No meat. My wife doesn't eat meat." Still no words of apology for the fact that they have held us hostage here for a sandwich, or even acknowledgement that we are a little frustrated. Just nothing. She turns around and tells the grill staff to put no bacon on order 115. We wait. And wait. and wait. And I am ready to tell them just to forget it, and refund our money. This is ridiculous. Helena is beyond frustrated and wont even look in the direction of the counter any more. Finally I walk up and am about to tell them to cancel our order. Another young woman, who we have heard for the past 25 minutes correcting orders as they come through the cook line with things like "This one needs cheese" and "No potatoes on this one", glances at me and shouts through the window, "Where is order 115?" mumbling comes in response, to which she says "Just get it done!" It must have been done and back there, because it is handed to her immediately. She looks at the sandwich and says to the cooks "It was NO bacon. Make it again" REALLY!?!??? The no bacon sandwich comes out in less than a minute. We have been there for a solid 30 minutes when we finally leave. In the car, Helena takes out the saddest looking egg and cheese sandwich I have ever seen. NEVER AGAIN. I am only leaving this review, because I can see from previous reviews that a corporate representative of some kind moderates and responds. While I am not interested in a response for myself or my wife, I am keen that some customer service training go on in this location. Our experience could have easily been a 3 star review by simply having a pro-active staff that recognized that we were waiting for something, and asking us about it. We have a bad taste in our mouth now for Corner Bakery Cafe, and probably wont go back to one, despite the fact that the cookie and muffin were amazing. Customer service can literally make or break a place. For us, it's broken here

Love this place! Try the Anaheim scramble or club panini. Their salads and soups are great and desserts are delish. An all around great place that we now pick over panera. Come a bit earlier for lunch to get a good spot - it gets packed and the line gets long.

I dont come to Corner Bakery often simply because I hate spending $8+ on a sandwich I can make at home, but I can be cheap like that. But in the end, Corner Bakery is yummy and refreshing everytime I go. I recommend the Uptown Turkey sandwich and Cesar salad! The only thing I don't like is when they have like 2+ promos that they push on you, saying "and it will make my manager happy" -- uhhh that is such a weird way to promote.

Good solid place. It is a corporate place that has good food, reasonable prices, and it is clean. It is obvious that Corner Bakery has a formula all worked out for the customer experience. Its good and solid. Cant go wrong. Nothing great...nothing bad...so thats the reason for 3 stars.

This location is alright. Good seems slower I come out than other locations. The place is always busy and that being said when there aren't many tables to choose from and some of them are dirty it makes it feel like there is no clean places to sit and eat. The food is still good but I'll wait for a nice warm day so I can sit out on the patio and eat.

Four of us had lunch here. Interestingly enough, two of us ordered the entree size Harvest Salads and they were the exact same size as the smaller version another in our party ordered (yes, we verified what we ordered via receipts and the one that ordered the smaller size had the same amount as the entree sized one). Along with that, we added avocado for an extra $1.00 and got two small slices - I know avocados are expensive, but really? Perhaps you should charge accordingly. We also thought it was odd that the menu stated our salads came with focaccia rolls, yet we were served some stale toast like item which I am assuming is the "harvest crisp" since it was the same thing that covered our salad. Why would I want two harvest crisps when you already covered my salad in the same item? The roof of my mouth can only take so much before it is raw! We chose to sit outside and were challenged in finding any clean tables. We ended up cleaning one off so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. The entire hour we were there, people came and went from the patio dining area during that time, an employee came out only once and walked past several dirty tables only to pick up the plates left behind from a diner. I certainly wasn't impressed and really have no reason to come back here. There isn't anything horrible about this place if you are will to pay upwards of $9 for a generic salad. I personally would go to Califronia Pizza Kitchen for a better salad. Sad thing is, Simi doesn't have many original dining establishments. Chain after chain is all there is to choose from, so for the lunch hour you are left with limited options which is why they probably get some "rave" reviews. Certainly nothing a foodie would rave about.

Oh, Corner Bakery, I sooooo want to love you.............................. Can I have No tomatoes in the Asian salad? Nope, its all Pre-Mixed. Why is my soup ALWAYS lukewarm? Is it THAT HARD to have clean tables available? I don't think I have ever sat down at an immaculate table here. I always have to wipe it down myself with a napkin. Staff is sweet, but a bit airheaded.

I have to write and praise both Janae and Cynthia for all their attention to detail and helpfulness on Friday evening. I walked in at closing 9 pm after having been turned away from Panera with no donation for our boys baseball tournament. Even though it was prearranged, the manager at Panera claimed to never have heard of me!! I was so upset and walked into Corner Bakery at the Simi Town Center and immediately the staff jumped to help me out packaging cookie trays, bagels and lemon pound cake - even preslicing it for me! These gals went above and beyond and stayed late to make sure our tournament was a success!! BEST IN CLASS!!! We ended up winning the whole thing and I have to think Corner Bakery had a little something to do with it!!! We will all be back soon and thank you from all the boys and families- Nancy Erhart Valley Commandos 10U Baseball

There was only 3 people in the restaurant with 1 person in front of me & it took them 10minutes to take my order. I order the combo soup & sandwich. The food was delicious but I finished my soup in 3 spoonfuls & my sandwich in 4bites. I paid 11$ and wasn't even close to full. I could've ordered the same thing 2 more times & still been hungry. Their portions are way too small for their price.

Well i have to change my rating from 3 stars to 1 because i got food poisoning. . . I ordered the club panini and a side salad. Simple, shouldn't be a problem but this was the only meal i had that day, so i know this is where i got the food poisoning from. Sorry corner bakery. . .

What is it with this place?!? It's like the they scooped all all the NICEST people and hired them. ;-) I have had the pleasure of being helped by Cynthia. She's a super star! Kind as all get out, an awesome "can do" attitude , and truly makes you feel like you are old friends. She is a great example of an employee! She is a blessing to this establishment! Thank you for treating us with better than excellent customer service every time we visit!!

Great atmosphere and really good food! Tuna sandwich is awesome with shredded carrots, lettuce and cucumber on whole wheat grain bread. Get a side of fruit if you're being good, or forget it and get the chips - so tasty! Free wi-fi is fast and reliable and the General Managers (Steve and David) are very nice and usually check in to make sure all is good with your order and if not act quickly to make sure it is - a very nice touch. The staff is friendly, happy and always willing to make your dining experience pleasant. Oh and the four blends of coffee are always fresh and aromatic.

I tried out the frozen lemonade and it was so good. I also tried the vanilla whoopee pie and I probably could have ate like 10 of those. Came on a Tuesday around lunch time and it was pretty full but everyone was super nice.

I don't know what has happened to this corner bakery! Came in for Sunday brunch and to my dismay found out they no longer serve French toast! In my opinion, they have no other breakfast items worth while. The woman taking our order was a bit short and seemed bothered by our questions, but the restaurant was about 75% full, so perhaps she was overwhelmed. We opted to sit outside and asked the manager who was walking around for a rag to wipe down the table. Several minutes passed with no return and our first order came out. Again we asked for a rag to clean the table and told her it was our second request -a very RUDE waitress told us she would do it in a minute. She did come back and wiped a small area of the table and then tossed her rag at another waitress and said "finish wiping down their table". The only reason for the two stars and not one is because the second waitress, Chantal I believe, was extremely nice and empathetic to the nasty attitude of the previous server. We spoke to the manager who was also very helpful and took care of the bill, but minutes later the rest of our food arrives carried by the original rude server. We opted to not partake. The place has pretty decent lunch and dinner items, but to be treated so rudely without any prompting from us was unacceptable and we will not be back

Breakfast should not be that stressful .... not a clean table to be found so my daughter sits at a dirty one in hopes someone will clean it while I place order. Of course this does not happen so I go back to counter to ask for someone to clean our table and the couples sitting across from us. 10:58am said our receipt which included 2 items ( egg panini and a blt sandwich ) 11:25am I have to go up to the counter again and ask why so long and get told " not ready yet we need a few more minutes". No apology just another 5 minute wait and told " here you go " when they place it down and walk away. We saw an older gentleman behind the counter but he never came around to check on anyone. Mean while we watch 3 young kids , around 7, take their shoes off and jump from sofa to sofa and even walk across table in between throwing newspapers all over the floor because they got bored waiting for their food. So not worth my one hour of breakfast time . We really except hidden cameras to come out and say this morning was all a joke . It really did feel that way . Never again... We will go to eggs and things and panera from now on.

I would give this place 2 stars but since the chocolate chip cookie was sooo damn good it's getting 3. I ordered the scrambler breakfast..YUCKKK! Okay seriously the potatoes looked sooo good in the picture when I got my order and tasted the potatoes I wanted to gag..The potatoes tasted like they were freaken sitting there for hours they were NOT fresh at all and you can totally tell they were hard and not tasty at all. The egg itself was okay and the bread/toast seriously how could you go wrong with the toast I ate a slice and a few of the eggs. I would've ate more but there was this scary looking creep who kept staring at me while I was eating I was freaked out so I dined and dashed but it's not like I really wanted to finish the meal anyways cuz it was BLEHHHH! Later that day I had completely forgotten about my chocolate chip cookie that I purchased..OOOO EMMMM GEEEEE. The bestttt chocolate chip cookie I have ever had, it beats my other bakery Specialties..it was soft, chewy, gooey and chocolate chip goodness. I'm sooo pissed I wish I would have gotten two cuz now I'm craving it and the closest one is like 10 miles a way..darnittt!! =( I would definitely not order the breakfast again but I would definitely come back for the cookie. :)

Seriously I'm not the biggest complainer. But when it comes to people placing an order and overpriced brunch I get really defensive. Paying 35 meal for brunch is serious. Could have gone to Denny's and place the same order and pay less than what I paid for. Place an order to go they bring me my food. I was running late for work in the first place thinking corner bakery can make it fast and ready to go. I asked to go not to dine-in. And I got a sandwich and the sourdough was only half a slice. Very frustrating took us about 45 mins

I've always had a good experience at Corner Bakery until this last time. I went for breakfast with my friend and the first thing we noticed was that there were flies in the display case, walking on the bagels. When we told the worker at the cash register, she shrugged it off saying that it was because of the sweets. My friend and I were thoroughly grossed out and will not be returning to this Corner Bakery.

My friends and I used to frequent this place but stopped going. The food is sub-par and the breakfast potatoes tasted like they were a few days old and warmed-up in a microwave. 50% of the time the self-serve coffee is empty. The staff never checks it. They relay on customers to request that they fill them. Unproductive staff. Poorly managed. Too bad. The only great thing about this restaurant is the location.

Love their Food ... everytime i drive to Simi Valley where i have family i stop by to get some nom nom. You can tell that their food is made fresh. I have heard some bad things about them ... but me being from out of town and coming here atleast twice a year since they have been opened i have NOT come across bad service or food. Overall: ill be in LA in January ;)

I love this place, no matter the location. Been to this one before, it is convenient as it is located on a shopping center. It does get pretty busy around the mid morning for breakfast. Recently at this location I had the: NEW! Chicken Apple Sausage Panini - Maple and chicken sausage, scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese grilled on sourdough panini which was good. I felt though it could have used ketchup? Weird, I know, but good! Then I had one of their lattes. Delish! The service is good, fast and friendly staff. There are tables and couches as well as outdoor seating. No complaints here. Some other suggestions: ---Roasted Tomato Basil Soup w/Croutons : croutons are real and not like the ones from the stores! my fav part of the dish. ---Chicken Pesto on Ciabatta Ficelle - All-natural roasted chicken, arugula, and tomatoes with our sweet and spicy house vinaigrette and pesto mayo: the chicken is a bit filling on this, maybe the chicken could be cut smaller. ---Poblano Fresco on Poblano Cheese Bread - Roasted red peppers, avocado, white cheddar cheese, crisp jicama slaw, lettuce, and spicy chipotle lime mayo. (Vegetarian with No Meat): Nothing but peppers. However, it is a little oily, so eat in moderation. I usually get the half salad/soup and sandwich.

I came here for a lunch date with an old friend. I've been here several times, and each time my experience has been pleasant. I ordered the smoked apple sausage sandwich. I don't remember the actual name, but it's a new item. The sandwich had scrambled eggs, sausage, and apples in between two pieces of panini bread. Overall, the dish tasted good. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, just how I like it. I was only disappointed with the fact that I could only taste the apples but not see them. Maybe they were mixed with the meat; I don't know. Would I come back here again? Sure. I'm in no hurry, though.

This place always pulls through for us whenever we decide to eat locally at a tried-and-true place. The staff there is always nice and accommodating, and the food is usually good. If it's not, they're very kind in letting us get something changed or switched for another without extra charge.

This place reminded me of panaera bread. Fast break down: Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Quality: 4/5 Pricing: Reasonable Nothing really stands out on first impression but overall, the food was good. I would come back.

Okay so seriously, I really like Corner Bakeries in general, but for some reason this one lacked the pump and umph that I expect to see from them. The bakery selection at the counter was nearly 1/8 full..no lie. It was a sad sight to see.. when we asked why it was so slim and 'unfresh looking' the staff was a bit blah, and told us, 'that's all we got left.' Basically, I didn't get a good vibe and the pasadena location blows this place out of the water. As far as the Peanut Butter whoppie pie! That was the only thing saving this spot...

So this past Sunday we went to Corner Bakery for breakfast. We placed our order for eggs, bacon, potatoes and also Oatmeal.. (both signature items for the restaurant). After we placed our order and sat down, we were advised there were no potatoes. Really?? no potatoes at a breakfast restaurant at 10:00 on a Sunday morning? Then, we were advised that they also did not have any oatmeal. What? how difficult is it to have some packets around in case. As the cashier was telling us of the misfortune, I think the manager overheard her and asked if everything ok. I spoke up and said, "no, actually its not". He never acknowledged my statement or made any type of offer or apology. I was very disappointed with my visit to Corner Bakery. To make matters worse, we brought friends to the restaurant for breakfast and they were not able to get their request. Come on Corner Bakery.. Its just potatoes.. Really? on A Sunday morning at 10:30?? No excuse... On a good note: This restaurant has awesome pancakes.. if you want pancakes.....

Ahhh, Corner Bakery, the best place for comfort lunches with warm paninis and gourmet soups. I usually grab the chicken pomadori because it's the best combo of spinach, cheese, chicken, sun dried tomatos and toasty bread and warm goodness. This time, I chose the Harvest Chicken salad and soup combo. The salad had chicken, bits of blue cheese, slices of apples, walnuts, spring greens and this amazing vinaigrette. For my soup, I got the cheddar broccoli which was also bomb. I don't normally like sweet salads, I'm more of a ranch dressing, with meats on my salad kinda girl, but after a morning workout at the gym, this salad was PERFECT. Light, yet filling, the walnuts and the apples went great with the chicken. Corner Bakery is always awesome, but unfortunately a bit pricey if you are looking for a cheap sandwich this isn't the place.

I like their coffee quite a bit, but beware, none of their wall outlets work. I guess thats their way of kicking out ppl like me who like to sit and code for 2hr on a mug of coffee.

This place is disgusting! My boyfriend and I went in to grab a bite and as we're ordering he notices flies in their pastry display case (which has real food they give to customers in it). He grabs my camera and takes a few pictures. The girl behind the counter gets an attitude and tells him to stop taking pictures. The more I look at the case I notice MULTIPLE flies buzzing around all over the food! We quickly ask for a refund and got the heck outta there!

On Thursday, my buddy and I usually have dinner here before we take a lesson at the Apple Store. My favorite is the Panini & Soup special. Their Tomato Basil soup is the best. The manager invariably walks around with a sample of dessert and inquires about the quality of our meal. I found the staff to be friendly and cheerful. They occasionally would walk around and check to see if we needed anything. I feel this was refreshing since this was a place-your-order and seat yourself cafe. I am an ice tea drinker and found the tea to be refreshing and not bitter. Although I live in the Santa Clarita Valley, I travel to Simi Valley almost every Thursday to attend a class at the Simi Valley Center Apple Store. This store's has instructor whose teaching technique I prefer.

This is the last time I go to Corner Bakery Cafe. Every experience has been bad. Really cheap on the meat and expensive as well. This time ordered a Uptown Turkey sandwich that was one of the worst sandwich's I have ever received at any restaurant. Are you kidding me? The turkey wasn't enough to feed an ant. Cheap processed lunch meat at $7.99. Maybe 1 oz of turkey if that. I will never go back to this cheap chain restaurant, I don't know how they keep in business. I am calling their corporate headquarters to complain about how awful this restaurant is. Bakery, hmmmmmm, more like cheap school cafeteria food.

Consistent, decent food.......not great, but it is consistent. I go for lunch, even dinner 2-3 times a month.......and usually get the same thing........lentil soup and a chicken caesar salad combo. Their soups are overall quite tasty, although the chicken noodle is a bit bland. The chicken in the salad is always moist and flavorful. I've had to argue the chicken to lettuce ratio at times (to get more chicken), but they are always accommodating. I don't really know why it changes, though. I've had a few of their sandwiches.......the Chicken Pesto sandwich and the tuna salad sandwich. Both are quite good.........I really like the tuna because they add shredded carrots and sliced cucumbers, which I would never think to do, and it's really good that way. The Chicken Pesto sandwich is good only if I ask for the pesto on the side. Otherwise, when they put it on, they don't really, and I never taste it that way. My way, I can taste as much or as little as I want. I've had some of their bakery items. The only memorable item is their cheesecake brownie. That IS quite good.......very dense, chocolatey, and gooey. I've had their rugulah, but I didn't care for it. Not bursting with any discernable flavor and rather on the dry side. They used to make this "rustic apple tart," which was quite tasty.......but honestly, I haven't looked lately, nor have I asked. It might still be on their menu. The cinnamon coffee cake is OUTSTANDING, but when I saw how many calories/fat content were in just one piece, well, I don't order it now. I haven't tried their other items.

AMAZING! We used them for a baby shower. We selected five different sandwiches, and they were quite tasty. Everyone loved them. Very high end quality sandwiches and well presented. Yum, yum!

I've been here a few times at this particular location as well as the one in Westlake Village. The sweets are to die for so mega point on that. Problem with my visit here recently, was an apparent miscommunication. The cashier was nice and friendly enough, he took my order quickly and correctly; however, he asked me if I wanted my blueberry muffin in a bag to go. I said sure, since I knew I might not finish it as I had intended to share a bit with my toddler as well as the oatmeal I was getting. It is easier to have the bag at the start rather than having to go back inside to get one later. I had said I was planning to eat there besides getting the muffin in the bag. I was given a number and I took it out to a table on the patio. I waited and waited, saw other people who ordered after me get food by the waitress bringing it out... I go inside and find my iced coffee and now cold oatmeal sitting on the to-go counter. The employee nearby told me it had been sitting there a while, she also said that everyone gets one of the numbers be it to go or not (the little cards you put in the table stand so the waitress can find you). Thankfully she got me a new oatmeal that was hot but maybe the cashiers should be a bit more clear on to go or not.

So, I had 2 coupons for lunch today. One for a free Cafe sized Spinach Sweet Crisp Salad, and one for a free cookie. When I saw the 10.00 go to 0.00 I felt kinda guilty, and mildly obligated to order a large drink. So the entire lunch cost me 2.50. Good deal! My two other lunch companions also had the free salad coupon as well, so the establishment made 2.50 off of my drink, and my buddy ordered a coffee. The salad arrived shortly after we ordered them. I had assumed "Free Cafe Salad" was going to be tiny. Boy was I wrong. it was a good sized salad, enough for me even. It also had with it a slab o' freshly baked bread. It was a spinach salad, but it also had strawberries, grapes, tangerines and cheese (my friends theorized goat cheese) and fresh croutons. It had a vinaigrette-type dressing on it. It was delicious; light, crisp and fruity. The bread was super soft, and tasty. The Iced Tea was cold, refreshing and good. I offered my friends a bit of my large sugar cookie, and they both declined. So I tore into it. It was soft and chewy, just the way I like my cookies. The meal was good. Corner bakery is usually a bit on the pricey side normally. But it's good. This time it was practically free. Super good job this time.

I had an Anaheim panini there and it was mostly an egg panini with traces of the other ingredients listed on the menu. Their fruit salad is pretty good. Breakfast portions run on the small side.

A great alternative for eating out when you don't want fast food but maybe don't want to drop $40+ at a 'sit down restaurant. They carry a nice selection of salads, soups, and sandwiches, quality food. My fav is the sliced meatball on sourdough. The atmosphere has been pleasant, fairly quiet, clean. Staff has been friendly. You order meal at the counter and they bring it to you. Good food, decent atmosphere, great value. I'll be back.

I've always been a big fan of Corner Bakery ever since 2006 when I worked in Westlake. I was overjoyed when I heard that they were making on in the mall in Simi. From the breakfast scrambles to their pasta dishes, everything from what I've tried has been a win. Something just feels right about eating here. I might venture out and try something different off of the menu, but I always find myself coming back to the Chicken Pomodori panini, or the Pesto Cavatappi. Don't waste the pickle they give to you with the sandwiches! I'll eat it for you! I've never run into any problems with the service at any Corner Bakery location, they must be doing something right.

I'll keep it short this time. While the coffee was good and better than the Starbucks counterpart, the attitude of workers there have something to be desired. The plastic cup of iced coffee had a crack, so the coffee started leaking. When I said that to a cashier, she gave me another one without apologizing. I did not think too much about that because she didn't crack it intentionally (unintentionally, I'm not sure). So while poured the content to the new cup and wiped off the spill, another staff came up saying "yeah, it happened didn't it?" then left. Well, she wasn't exactly helping me clean the spill which definitely was not my fault. She probably has observed me afar during the interaction, but such a small but insensitive comment can affect how often customers would come the store.

Sandwich wars among the "Quick Casual" segment I really enjoy my local Corner Bakery and in fact have switched from regularly visiting Panera Bread for a host of reasons I thought I'd share in the spirit of mere opinions. I know one can't expect much these days but for a price point of $8.00+ for 1/2 sandwich and soup they should think about a few things. 1) CB doesn't offer free wi-fi so the slice of society that makes PB their home office aren't clogging the tables. This results in a natural flow of patrons which means you CAN find a table to eat at. I hate that I often have to wait for a table at PB and it puts the food runners in a quandary because they want me to take my food, really stand with a plate of food? (Have the same complaint with Starbucks; use to be able to meet a friend have a cup of coffee and some conversation...not anymore as there is no place to sit!) 2) CB has excellent presentation compared to PB. I always get a 1/2 sandwich and soup combo so the comparisons are balanced. CB starts with a white with black border plate (albeit plastic) that is the correct size to offer 1/2 sandwich, chips (no bag to wrestle with..ready to eat) and bowl of soup that visually fill the plate...creates the sense that I certainly have gotten my monies worth. PB has bigger plates, bigger bowls (but not more soup) and provides either a whole apple (more on that later), bag of chips or piece of baguette. Visually the PB is less appealing also due to the color scheme of it's plates; food looks best on WHITE plates not mustard/gold or pea soup green colors. 3) CB breads for sandwiches are artisan in creation. Full of wonderful flavors and textures that are enhanced because CB toasts all breads. PB breads are just plain run of the mill and nothing special; cold and flimsy as they do not toast! Also both places should pay attention to sandwich creation process...PB sandwiches have the look of thrown together, contents not placed on the bread properly (half on, half off bread requiring you to 'remake' the sandwich before eating). CB could take more time spreading chicken salad on the bread in order to balance ingredients. 4) Still do not understand why PB gives a full apple that rolls around on the plate. Seriously how many patrons are going to take a full apple and start chomping in a restaurant? The knives you ask for aren't sharp enough to cut an apple either. It would take moments for the line staff to cut and core the apple (there is a tool for that!) which would enhance the visual presentation and make it easier to eat. I imagine PB has a large amount of WASTED fruit from this ill conceived menu item. Sliced apple or chips should be the choice for a soup and sandwich combo and apple or bread for a soup and salad combo. Any substitution could be accommodated but the initial menu offer should be for one item. I will even give a pass on the bag of chips presentation...I don't like playing with food eg:struggling to open bags etc. 5) Both restaurants have a problem with keeping tables cleared and CLEANED in order for new patrons to find a place to sit. CB has a bigger problem with outdoor seating as the type of solid top tables they use NEVER look clean due to the black mat color. These type of table need to be cleaned with a solution when clearing but then you would have staff spraying solution next to you while you eat...mist and smell is definitely not what I want going on. 6) Register staffs at both places could be better trained in menu knowledge and customer experience. CB registers are behind a half wall and far enough away that EVERY time I go I get a "what did you say" from staff. I am not soft spoken and am able to clearly articulate so I wonder what the staff hearing issue is? Music too loud? Staff to far away? PB needs to educate staff on ingredients; when I asked what type of bread was on a sandwich (all the breads are uniquely named) I was told "kinda like white bread". As Quick Casual is a growing segment I look forward to more new restaurants in this space. I am hopeful they remember they are above Fast Food so a few considerations should always be addressed.

I Used to like the Corner Bakery in Simi. But it has gone down hill. I tried it yesterday thinking that I said I was never to go there again, but it was a nice day and I like the outdoor seating. Should have gone with my gut. The tables outside were not cleaned, the girl that took my order was a total smart ***. then the server that brought our food just threw it on the table? my salad tasted and looked like it had been pre-made for days. I WILL never go to that Corner Bakery again.

This place is great! Came here yesterday with my husband and father-in-law. I ordered the Club Panini and it was delicious. Prices are good. Sandwich and drink = $9. Their breads and sweet bakery items are yummy. Plenty of parking (it's located in the Simi Town Center Shopping Mall) and outside seating. Great place to go after you've emptied out your wallet shopping at the mall.

OK, I can see how the other reviewer got lost on the way to the coffee machine. And, if it's your first time here (the average "Wait on me!" American doesn't get the whole self service thing) then place your order, grab your # and found a cozy table on the patio or slouch down on the couch with a free newspaper. They'll bring you your food. Relax. The food is delicious and fresh, and the breakfast portions are generous for their $4-$6 price range. The brownies are the best I've ever had from a place where you have to buy them (and not have an elderly woman smack your hand as you try to grab one, aka Grandma's Kitchen). I'm not a coffee person, but the hot chai is heavenly! The servers are all happy and friendly (the manager acts like he's a bit better than everyone else in the world, but hey, dealing with the public can be rough). I'm going back Sunday to try the Scramblers and a Panini with my Honey. Hopefully, he won't get lost on the way to find the coffee...

I hit this place up about 2-3 times a week after going to the gym. The Harvest chicken salad is what always seems to land in front of me ( with no blue cheese). What I like about this place is that you can always find something healthy to eat. The staff is friendly, prices are good and they even bring the meal to you! This is a good find, and sitting outside is a nice and peaceful experience at this eatery. Give them a try!

Free WIFI. When a coffee joint has free wifi that is the first step in the right direction. Corner Bakery and Panera Bakery are very similar in the menu, price point and both are set up to order at the counter and the servers bring you meal after it is prepared. I had the Santa Fe salad and it was good and the portion was good sized. The dining room is not as well set up as Panera and has much smaller tables and booths. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. If I am on the west end of town or up at the Town Center, I would go back.

I love this place! This particular location in particular! I meet here with a lady once weekly and we usually spend a few hours going through a book discussion. We have plenty of space to spread out, enjoy some coffee/tea, and aren't disrupted too often. I'd rather go here than a starbucks because we have more room and i don't' feel that everyone is ease-dropping on my conversation. It would have gotten 5 stars if they had more of a selection for coffee drinks and the like.

It's pretty good. If you go in the morning make sure you get the oatmeal with all the fruit in it. Also if you go for lunch or dinner I would recommend the soup and sandwich combo.

10 months later----adding 2 more stars! bowl of soup + pasta salad= $8.75 (good for my "diet" and I was completely full!) * Corn chowder soup: not what I had expected---thought it was going to be creamy----like clam chowder, but with corn instead. Nevertheless, it was a pretty good soup(kinda taste like tortilla soup minus the tortillas) * Caprese pasta salad: clean simple pasta salad(fresh mozz, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, basil, parsley, cavatappi pasta, and lemon garlic dressing)

I eat here at least 3 times a month as it is convenient to where i work and its great food for the price. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes for anything I have ordered either. The club panini, chicken pomadori, and BBLT are very tasty. There are good salads as well for those that prefer something a little leaner. Overall, I love this place and it is one of my most frequented restaurants.

Stopped in for a light dinner and ordered a chicken Santa Fe. It was the smaller version and very filling. No complaints. Since this is a bakery I wanted a cookie and their Snickerdoodles looked yummy. I have tried many Snickerdoodles in my day and I have to recommend the Corner Bakery Cafe's cookies. It was perfect. Soft in the middle with a little crumbly sugar on top.

I actually had a more pleasant experience here than others that reviewed.. Anyhow ate lunch here once so maybe that's why.. At any rate the food and service was quick and fast. The food was served perfectly cooked and prepared... It didn't seem old or wrinkly as someone else mentioned. Bathrooms were clean and breathable! :) ok anyhow that's my 2 cents:)

We have eaten at the Corner Bakery Cafe several times and the food has always been consistently good. We particularly like the scrambles for breakfast and the panini sandwiches for lunch. had a salad that was simply drowning in dressing. trying to absorb it with a paper towel really didnt help. could have had a much better salad for about the same cost over at CPK. should have gone with my first instinct to go to the sushi joint in the mall instead. the bread tasted to yeast/doughy . just wasnt good. and the place was super busy. i dont get it. wont go back. could have had a nicer salad at panera as well.

I love Corner Bakery! They have really good service. The people there are all really friendly. Now about the food... There lunch specials are pretty affordable and they give generous portions. They have amazing oatmeal- I definitely recommend it for breakfast, and if you are ever in the mood for dessert they have tasty lemon bars. Only downside I guess is that you feel a little rushed because the staff is constantly walking around ready to pick up your plates.
